Hilary & I first met whilst we both worked for Thomas Cook.  An opportunity arose in 2005 for us to buy The Independent Holiday Shop and, as they say, the rest is history.

 

Over the years I have travelled to many wonderful destinations; some of my favourites being Costa Rica, Tanzania, Jordan & Egypt.  Closer to home, I still love the island of Menorca, having spent many happy family holidays there and now I enjoy going with friends and spending evenings watching the comings and goings in Es Castell.  Turkey is somewhere else I love to return to with Istanbul being one of my favourite cities and Kalkan, on the Turquoise Coast, for its many fabulous roof top restaurants.

 

I also love Star Clipper Cruises and have visited some wonderful places around the world on board these amazing sailing ships.

 

A few years ago, I was very fortunate to take The Orient Express to Venice, an experience that will stay with me forever.
